White historic home surrounded by leafy gardens in Newton Centre, Massachusetts

For Newton pickups, organize the request by room and distinguish an indoor carry from goods already at a ground-level exit. Give the team the actual address, access route and pieces needing special handling rather than assuming every pickup is the same.

These are independent resources, not guaranteed destinations for a request made through this site. Municipal disposal and recycling are different from a charitable gift. Check the linked program before making a trip.

  • Business or commercial vehicles have restricted acceptance; city businesses may bring cardboard and single-stream recycling only.

Curbside recycling and special items

  • City distinguishes mattress and box-spring recycling from bulky waste.
  • Futon mattresses and sleeper sofas are excluded from that mattress recycling category.
  • Mattress drop-off requires the resident to transport and unload, with proof of payment.

Fees change; link to city for current amount rather than using this site as a disposal price list.
